Full Job Description
This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Sr. Associate, Quality Assurance Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems, devising inspection methods, and managing product quality risks. You will apply advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills to ensure product precision and reliability.
Specifics Include:
• Perform specialized technical tasks and conduct research to optimize project outcomes
• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems/protocols
• Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product and equipment precision and accuracy
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
Conduct quality assurance tests and perform statistical analysis to assess control levels and manage product quality risks
• Undertake root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action and ensure corrective measures and deviations meet acceptable reliability standards
• Review and approve investigations, ensuring timely completion of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), validations, and verifications, and facilitate investigations and CAPAs at third-party suppliers
• Apply ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 principles to ensure compliance and risk management across production processes, equipment/process/test method validation, and technical projects
• Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training
• Meet individual job requirements and contribute to overall organizational compliance

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Location: Onsite - Houston, TX
• Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
• Travel Requirements: 0-10%
• Sponsorship & Relocation: Not Available
