Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Associate in Procurement for our Melbourne, Florida location to support and execute procurement activities related to the acquisition of raw materials, goods, and services. This role involves management of supplier relationships and contributing to supply chain performance within a dynamic, regulated environment. The successful candidate will support efforts to ensure procurement activities align with procedural guidelines while maintaining compliance with applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the end-to-end procurement lifecycle including sourcing, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier performance management.
  • Assists in establishing and then maintaining relationships with key suppliers.
  • Supports compliance efforts ensuring procurement activities adhere to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and assesses procurement-related risks and supports the development of mitigation strategies across orders.
  • Monitors and analyzes supply chain performance through metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions to drive cost savings and schedule adherence.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Resolves material rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes with suppliers.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and operations to support procurement objectives.
  • Maintains strong internal customer-program relationships that foster an environment of collaboration and trust.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • 6 years' experience in Procurement and/or Subcontracts. Experience to be one or a combination of the following: Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Contracts, Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Legal and Government compliance, and/or Finance. Coursework, or practical experience that demonstrates business acumen, compliance, legal, negotiations skills, analytical mindset, strategy development and execution.


Preferred Qualificartions:
  • MRP experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms.
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data, metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to various levels of management and program teams.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across functional organizations.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
