Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

Senior Analyst, Trade Credit serves as a strategic and innovative partner focused on supporting business growth as part of a world-class controllership organization.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day activities for Order to Cash (OTC) specifically related to our Pro Trade Credit business. This role partners with internal teams and external business partners such as our customers and the Credit and Pro teams to help resolve discrepancies, solve problems, and constantly improve the trade credit processes. This role needs foundational accounting skills in accounts receivable, cash, revenue, and reporting.

As a Senior Analyst, you will drive the execution of operational tasks, including but not limited to cash application, invoice adjustments and refunds, reconciliations, and other month-end tasks within SAP, Blackline, and other third party applications. Additionally, in collaboration with your team, you will spearhead departmental and strategic projects, collaborate with project/product managers, and balance your own workload. This role is expected to present continuous improvement recommendations to managers and leaders as well as execute on these improvements. The ideal candidate will be proficient in querying complex data into actionable insights using Google Big Query, Tableau, SQL, and other SaaS tools. In addition, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, requiring effective communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:
  • 5% Collaboration - Leverages prior experiences to help develop and recommend solutions
  • Effectively develops trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams in other towers
  • Collaborates with appropriate team members to gather input and feedback concerning business needs
  • Understands the technical needs required for successfully tackling business problems
  • 75% Operational Duties - Execute required tasks related to the delivery of the (PTP, OTC, RTR) tower
  • Work coordinately with other teams providing or receiving information as needed
  • Support work that needs to be done with internal or external customers.
  • Interprets data contained in reports and ledgers
  • Provides advice and analysis to increase the efficiency and improve the tasks that are done
  • Supports the work of more junior analysts
  • Resolves issues and problems related to their job function.
  • Executes month end / year end processes
  • Monitor and works towards meeting KPIs and SLAs defined for the area
  • Assists FBS manager with building and interpreting analysis for providing insights to the business
  • 15% Project Management & Team Support - Work with project teams and business partners to complete project goals
  • Helps prioritize assignments and ensure quality and accuracy of work
  • 5% Skill Building & Professional Development - Seek further knowledge on key developments and trends within finance (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, robotics)
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial shared services processes and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

    Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
    Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
    Advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, including formatting, organizing thoughts, and tailoring content to the audience. Proven ability to curate and present data effectively.
    Demonstrated agility in learning and adapting to new technologies and tools.
    Strong focus on delivering accurate output by meticulously checking work before submission to ensure high-quality results.
    Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in verifying and building upon existing data and information.
    Proficiency in translating analytical insights into visual formats, including the ability to create clear, compelling graphics and sequence data to effectively tell a story and emphasize key points.
    Adaptability to organizational changes and the ability to transform to meet evolving business needs.
    Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a high degree of independence and initiative
    Basic knowledge of SQL, GBQ, and Tableau, with a foundational understanding of analytical techniques and data visualization
