Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions.
What you'll do:- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve accounting issues.
- Prepare reports and present findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
What you'll need:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Teams; experience with accounting software (e.g. Oracle).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
