Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Compensation: $95,540 - $119,420 Annual Salary

The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Treasury, the Senior Accountant is a highly analytical role focused on the integrity of the Company's complex financial and treasury structures. This role serves as a key driver for intercompany accounting, lease accounting (including percentage rent), fixed assets, and comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations. Beyond traditional accounting, this professional will take ownership of specialized treasury support, including cash flow forecasting, tracking loans, administering unclaimed property, and monitoring investments, distributions, and dividends. The Senior Accountant will deliver precise financial insights, ensure strict adherence to GAAP, assist with systems implementations (including bank interfaces), support sales tax reporting, and provide extensive cross-functional support to other managers on the Accounting team.

This position requires a highly motivated, self-starting leader who can develop professional relationships with business partners and accurately decipher financial data. Responsibilities:
  • Manage Intercompany accounting, execute comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and drive ongoing clean-up initiatives to ensure accurate financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
  • Own Lease Accounting processes, including the accurate execution of percentage rent calculations and landlord reporting.
  • Support Treasury operations by assisting with cash flow forecasting, managing banking relationships, tracking corporate loans, and executing Positive Pay (checks).
  • Oversee Fixed Assets accounting, ensuring accurate tracking, capitalization, and depreciation schedules.
  • Support the tracking, analysis, and accounting for corporate investments, distributions, and dividends.
  • Handle and assist with the administration, reconciliation, and compliance reporting for Unclaimed Property.
  • Partner with technology and finance teams to assist with systems implementations, including the integration and management of new accounting tools and bank interfaces.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the Accounting management team and assist with sales tax reporting. Collaborate effectively with financial stakeholders and departments. Perform other accounting duties as needed.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar applications
  • Familiar with 13-period calendar accrual
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude and Gemini

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with multi-unit and intercompany transactions
  • Understanding of restaurant accounting principles, such as inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Preferred industries: restaurant, warehouse, & manufacturing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Sit for extended periods at a workstation, with regular use of a computer, keyboard, and multiple monitors
  • Read, interpret, and analyze detailed financial documents, spreadsheets, and reports with a high degree of accuracy
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with team members, management, auditors, and other departments
  • Perform sustained, detailed numerical analysis requiring concentration and attention to detail
  • Occasionally lift/move files or office materials (typically up to 10-15 lbs)
