SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Location: Santa Rosa, CA (On-Site)

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 Annual Salary (DOE)

Experience Required: 3+ Years of Accounting Experience

This position works closely with the Group Controller and CFO while partnering with Operations, Production, and Sales to ensure accurate financial reporting, job costing, and timely month-end close.

What You'll Do

General Accounting
• Oversee the General Ledger and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with tax filings and compliance reporting.

Financial Reporting
• Complete accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare financial reports for executive leadership.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Construction Accounting
• Perform job costing for residential roofing projects.
• Track project costs and profitability.
• Process commission payments accurately and on time.
• Maintain commission records and supporting documentation.

Collaboration
• Partner with the Group Controller and CFO.
• Support audits and internal controls.
• Improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Work closely with Operations, Production, and Sales.
• Perform additional projects as assigned.

Top 5 Must-Haves
• 3+ years of Accounting experience.
• MUST HAVE Monthly Financial Close experience.
• MUST HAVE Job Costing experience.
• MUST HAVE Roofing, Construction, or Exterior Home Company experience.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills.

Qualifications & Experience

Required
• 3+ years of Accounting experience.
• Monthly Financial Close experience is REQUIRED.
• Job Costing experience is REQUIRED.
• Roofing Company experience is REQUIRED.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience processing commission-based payroll.
• Experience supporting audits and implementing internal controls.
