SQA Automated Non Conformance Management Lead (2-year assignment) is responsible for leading the strategic execution, development, and scaling of automated systems for Non-Conformance Management across the Global Pet Nutrition segment driving data quality and efficiency benefits to SQA as a priority. Works closely with R&D and supply to gain alignment and resources to drive change.
This highly collaborative, technical role focuses on eliminating heavy manual administrative workflows-such as assembling, chasing, and documenting S-CAPAs-by driving robust integrations across core corporate systems. By implementing automated, AI-enabled verification tools and resolving shopfloor-level process and logistics friction, this leader ensures seamless data flows, robust supplier accountability, and digitized, real-time quality compliance.
Additionally key to this role is
leading end-to-end business process mapping across SQA operations to uncover and drive further efficiency opportunities. This leader will

Context and Scope:This role operates within the Global Pet Nutrition segment, with a global scope that bridges corporate digital strategy with segment specific needs and technical requirements.
- Corporate & Cross-Segment Collaboration: The job holder must work in close partnership with corporate R&D Systems, MGS SQA team, Global Supply, and segment Q&FS.
- They will act as a primary interface with the Digital team to co-create and drive the end-to-end digital SQA strategy, ensuring local systems align seamlessly with the broader enterprise digital roadmap.
- Process Excellence & Efficiency: Through systematic end-to-end business process mapping, this leader will analyze current SQA workflows, highlight execution bottlenecks across sites, and redesign processes to maximize efficiency and build scalable automation opportunities.
- Operational Excellence & Systems Alignment: To drive both long-term structural changes and immediate site improvements, this role balances strategic collaboration with corporate systems developers and the Digital team alongside agile work with local OE teams for quick-fix operational solutions.
What would be your key responsibilities?Non-Conformance Management & Strategy Execution- Automated NCM Strategy: Lead the strategic execution and delivery of automated non-conformance management, ensuring close collaboration with Supply, Q&FS and digital to build a seamless end-to-end digital workflow.
Corporate Systems Integration & S-CAPA Automation- Nexus System Enhancement: Collaborate closely with Corporate R&D Systems and the MGS SQA team to deliver functionality enhancements to successfully removing manual efforts to assemble, send, chase, and document S-CAPAs and supplier responses.
- Resolve Integration Friction: Systematically resolve integration and data synchronization inconsistencies between digital solutions.
- Data Understanding & Usability: Address general systemic challenges and technical knowledge gaps around the process and tool functionalities to improve data literacy across the organization.
Automated CoA Verification & AI Scaling- AI Tool Implementation: Lead the strategy and deployment of the automated CoA verification AI tool across all Pet Nutrition factories.
- Automated Data Queries: Drive the end-to-end automation of data collection, parsing, and automated query generation to flag out-of-specification or non-compliant supplier certificates of analysis instantly.
SQA connected Business process driving digital strategy- End-to-End Process Mapping: Lead the comprehensive mapping of critical SQA, workflows to identify process variations, manual bottlenecks, and operational redundancies across the SQA operations.

What are we looking for?- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Food Safety, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline would be beneficial
- Substantial and consistent experience in technical function, ideally across SQA/R&D/Q&FS.
- Experience implementing projects with senior x-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred: Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Business Process Management (BPM), Agile Project Management, or Change Management.
- Experience in Quality Systems, SQA, Manufacturing Quality, or Supply Chain Operations within the FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Process Mapping Mastery: Proven experience leading end-to-end business process mapping and design (e.g., Value Stream Mapping) to drive efficiency and lean operations.
- Digital Strategy & Collaboration: Experience collaborating directly with Digital/IT functions to co-create long-term roadmaps, deploy enterprise-level digital tools, or drive large-scale digital transformations.
- Systems & Database Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise quality and specification management software (experience with Mars-specific systems such as Nexus, Trinity, and ATLAS, or equivalents like SAP QM and PLM systems is highly advantageous).
