Full Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Sprinkler Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our sprinkler service division. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating field operations, managing service schedules, supporting technicians, and ensuring sprinkler projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage jobs from initial scheduling through completion and closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the daily schedule for both yourself and assigned sprinkler technicians.
  • Maintain an active, hands-on presence in the field, including performing and assisting with sprinkler inspections, service, repairs, troubleshooting, and other field work as required.
  • Manage sprinkler service jobs from start to finish, ensuring work is properly scheduled, staffed, documented, and completed.
  • Review service needs and determine required labor, materials, equipment, and parts.
  • Order and coordinate parts and materials to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Provide technical direction and field support to sprinkler technicians.
  • Monitor open jobs and follow through on outstanding repairs, deficiencies, return visits, and customer needs.
  • Ensure technicians complete accurate and timely service documentation.
  • Review completed work for accuracy, quality, and code compliance before job closeout.
  • Submit required inspection and compliance documentation through The Compliance Engine and other applicable AHJ reporting platforms.
  • Coordinate with customers, internal operations teams, technicians, and other departments regarding scheduling and job status.
  • Assist with estimating and identifying additional repairs or deficiencies discovered during inspections and service.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable NFPA standards, state/local requirements, and AHJ regulations.
  • Promote and enforce company safety procedures and professional field standards.
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and development of sprinkler technicians.
  • Maintain accountability for productivity, job completion, documentation, and overall service quality.


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Current/valid sprinkler permit- Water base inspector or Nicet I II
  • Previous experience working with fire sprinkler systems, including inspection, service, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Previous management, supervisory, or field leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable fire sprinkler codes, standards, and inspection requirements.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers, technicians, management, AHJs, and other stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with hands-on sprinkler service work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Service-Trade or similar field-service management software.
  • Experience with The Compliance Engine and electronic inspection reporting.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and other applicable fire protection standards.
  • Experience coordinating technicians, materials, service calls, deficiencies, and repair work.
  • Experience reviewing inspection reports and developing scopes for required corrective work.

$40.00 per hour
