Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Speech Therapist and make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate care to those in need.

The Speech Therapistprovides and directs all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to organizations guidelines, professional standards and community needs. Serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers. Participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, targeting specific speech, language, and swallowing goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, articulation therapy, language development therapy, voice therapy, and cognitive training.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and home exercises.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patients' progress and make recommendations for discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's degree in speech pathology is REQUIRED
  • Passing the Praxis exam, and completing your clinical fellowship, you'll apply for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in the speech pathology field is PREFERRED.
  • With Skilled Nursing Experience is PREFERRED
  • California license to practice Speech Pathologist is REQUIRED.
