Full Job Description
This is a part-time or full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Overland Park, KS.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Position Details
  • Part-time school-based opportunity with a 20-hour weekly schedule
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Fully on-site, in-person assignment serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Deliver direct therapy services, complete evaluations and assessments, provide consultation, and support assigned case management responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized student support plans
  • Maintain timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings and other school-based collaboration
  • Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • Manageable caseloads designed to promote high-quality student services and work-life balance
  • Ongoing collaboration and professional support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
  • $55-$60+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $1,100-$1,200+ based on a 20-hour work week

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
  • CF-SLP placement may be available
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
