Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Highland Springs, VA

Job Summary: Highland Springs Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team at our Highland Springs, VA location. As a key member of our team, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping residents regain independence, improve communication, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Evaluate residents to identify speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, clinical findings, and resident goals
• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy services in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Assess and treat dysphagia, recommending appropriate diet modifications and safe swallowing strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Participate in care plan meetings, discharge planning, quality improvement initiatives, and facility education programs
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and all applicable regulatory standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
• Stay current on best practices through continuing education and professional development

Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of employment
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply where permitted
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team

What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate of $42 - $58.
