About this Position:
As an Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist at Lee Health, you'll evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. You may encounter patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, surgery, or complex medical conditions, and will work closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to provide timely, evidence-based interventions. This fast-paced setting offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes, while collaborating within a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to high-quality, compassionate care.
In this role you will be responsible for providing screening, evaluation, treatment, and education for those who demonstrate impairments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for adherence to and compliance with all American Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA) professional standards. The SLP is engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The SLP is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. What this Position Requires:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competency.
Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).
License: Active Florida State Speech Language Pathologist Licensure.
