Full Job Description
Village Point is seeking an experienced Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team!

Village Point is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Monroe Township, NJ. We are in search of a Full-Time SLP to join our team. At Springpoint, the role of the SLP is to diagnose and treat individuals with speech, language, voice and fluency impairments.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs hearing and/or speech and language examinations to learn the patient's degree of
  • Evaluates hearing and /or speech and language test results.
  • Evaluates barium swallow results and/or other test results and overall medical background
  • Diagnoses patients and formulates treatment plans for speech, language, fluency, voice or swallowing impairments.
  • Educates patients and family members about the various communication techniques or strategies to cope with the impairment.
  • Writes reports and maintains client information for the purposes of evaluation, treatment progress and discharge of client.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities, coordinates paperwork, writes lesson plans and schedules case management activities and/or any other appropriate patient information and/or recordkeeping for administrative, billing and caseload purposes.
  • Develops individual and/or group activities and/or programs to manage behavior, speech, language or swallowing problems.
  • Participates in and writes reports for meetings regarding patients' progress.
  • Participates in the planning and implementing of individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.
  • Instructs clients with techniques for more effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading or voice improvement.

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an Accredited therapy program
  • 3-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current and valid NJ Speech Therapist license
