Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of professional practice, allied health, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing a wide range of communication disorders in the adult population, which include adult inpatients. Working as a member of the Speech Language Pathology Division in our dynamic interdisciplinary team setting, you will oversee the assessment and management of adult dysphagia and communication disorders in the acute care and rehab populations. You will be responsible for the management of speech, language and swallowing disorders. Following assessment, you will interpret diagnostic information in order to plan, organize and implement treatment programs.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Eligibility for registration with CASLPO.
  • Current BCLS
  • Current (2 year) speech pathology experience in a multidisciplinary health services environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Criminal Record Check required


Core Competencies
  • Experience in video fluoroscopic assessment of dysphagia would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
