Qualifications

• Licensure required from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Eligibility for North Carolina licensure via the Department of Public Instruction.
• Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders is essential.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply, making this role accessible for early-career professionals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required for effective teamwork.
• School-based experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 school setting.
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individual therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams for integrated support.
• Assist students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication challenges.
• Work with teachers and families to ensure carryover of speech and language skills in various environments.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records to ensure effective service delivery.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans based on individual needs.
