Job Summary and QualificationsOur Speech Language Pathologists are responsible for the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of a wide variety of patients, including, but not limited to patients with: neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and other medical conditions in the areas of acute, subacute, rehabilitation and outpatient speech/language pathology. You will be evaluating and treating patients in accordance with the rules and regulations of the facility, the American Speech/language Hearing Association (ASHA), and the State of California
You will be demonstrating knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, assess, and interpret data reflective of the patient's medical status and age specific needs, in order to provide the appropriate care, as described in the department's policies and procedures
You will be providing goal directed treatment program planning, implementation and modification, as well as related documentation and communication for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
You will be responsible for treating patients with suspected speech, language, cognitive, communicative, and swallowing impairments
Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
State of California Board of Examination licensure for Audiology and Speech Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
One to two years' hospital or rehab experience preferred. Entry-level graduates will be considered
BCLS certification
