Job Description

The Site Leader at the Denver High Velocity Center (HVC) is a critical leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation of a fast-paced parts distribution center. This position demands a dynamic leader with a strong background in supply chain management, operations, and team leadership. The Site Leader is responsible for driving performance across all key metrics, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

  • Extensive and detailed experience with Synchronous Flow Process (SFP) and just in time processing.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:
  • Creates a culture of proactive safety ensuring our most valuable asset, our team members, get home safely every day.
  • Leverages data and insights to drive lean improvements that deliver on quality and cost targets.
  • Continually seeks opportunities and inspire others to improve processes and outcomes, leveraging KPIs and the PDCA model.
  • Oversee all daily operations within the High Velocity Center, ensuring efficient and timely processing of parts orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Grid Times to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize denials and optimize inventory management.
  • Manage operational budgets and business plans, ensuring financial targets are met.


Team Management & Development:
  • Provide leadership and direction to a diverse workforce, including salary staff (Traffic, Security, and Inventory) and hourly employees.
  • Develops "leaders as teachers" and prioritizes ongoing development and evaluation of employee performance to continually create high performing teams that deliver results for the Ford Motor Company Develop salaried team thru training, coaching and mentoring.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting employee engagement and development.
  • Effectively manage Positive Employee relations, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and resolving labor-related issues.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ford Dealers, Parts Managers, Carriers, Supply Chain partners, Regional Hubs, and all corporate support functions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for communication and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in national and local negotiations as required.

Safety & Compliance:
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.


Transportation and Logistics
  • Manage and oversee the transportation and logistics of parts distribution.
  • Work with carriersto ensure on-time delivery and efficient transportation operations.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field Proven experience leading a Parts Distribution Center
• Extensive experience managing and leading facilities with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Extensive Distribution Operations experience in the Daily Parts Advantage (DPA) environment
• Prior experience in Managing UAW facilities and/or UAW negotiations is required.
