Job Description

The Specialist, Digital Channels, plays a critical role in supporting the publishing, delivery and optimization of multi-channel digital communications across internal and external platforms, including but not limited to our enterprise portal (Sync), internal SharePoint sites, email (Outlook/Poppulo), internal social channels (Viva Engage) and external websites. This candidate ensures seamless technical execution of content, partners cross-functionally to maintain channel integrity, and supports digital production workflows that bring our company's story and business priorities to life. As part of the Global Employee and Executive Communications team, this individual will support content operations, manage access to distribution lists, troubleshoot digital systems, maintain publishing tools, and onboard and manage contractors supporting channel production.

The Specialist will partner with a variety of stakeholders responsible for high-impact, high-priority content, including but not limited to email communications from Executive Team leaders to employees, articles for our intranet site, employee newsletters, promotional content for high-profile internal events, our company's website content and more. Success in this role will require a broad and hands-on understanding of the content development process and related analytics, along with strong collaboration with the owners of our internal and external HQ channels. This role will report to a Director of Global Communications.

Location/commute
  • This role is based at our headquarters site in Rahway (NJ, USA).
  • This position canbe 100% remote and does not require travel.


Scope of work and core responsibilities
  • Publish and maintain digital content across internal and external HQ channels, including but not limited to intranet, email, newsletters, SharePoint sites, corporate websites, etc.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of high-priority digital communications in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
  • Ensure content accuracy through testing, QA reviews, link validation, accessibility checks and system readiness.
  • Coordinate with IT partners to troubleshoot issues, resolve publishing errors and ensure operational continuity of communication channels.
  • Provide design consultation, template guidance and technical recommendations to elevate the quality of digital experiences.
  • Serve as a digital advocate, leveraging their production acumen and analytics skills to develop insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the collection and reporting of digital channel performance metrics to help evaluate and improve communications effectiveness.
  • Stay current on digital trends, CMS enhancements and enterprise channel best practices.
  • Uphold brand, style and digital governance guidelines across all channels.
  • Maintain quality, consistency and compliance standards to ensure information is accurate, secure and aligned with enterprise expectations.
  • Maintain consistency of corporate messaging and act as a steward of company brand.
  • Onboard and manage contractors supporting publication of content on internal and external HQ digital channels.


Required qualifications
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in digital communications, web production or CMS content publishing.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and publishing content for enterprise-scale websites or internal communication platforms.
  • Proficiency with CMS publishing and digital tools, including but not limited to SharePoint, Poppulo, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose publishing or formatting issues across multiple systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, prioritize deadlines and deliver accurate content in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, consistency, grammar and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and collaborate cross-functionally and operate with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong ability and comfort level providing guidance to senior leaders across Global Communications.
  • Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision to handle multiple tasks and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Organized with sharp attention to detail (including grammar and spelling).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with sensitive corporate information.
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner and able to deliver under deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills and creative problem solver.
  • Proactive with ability to "see" around corners and anticipate needs of our leaders and executives.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.


Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in health care or pharmaceutical industry, including large Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience at a PR agency or equivalent welcome.
