Job Description:

The Calibration Quality Specialist is responsible for the management of the total lifecycle of a broad variety of tooling and equipment used in the manufacturing, inspection, and test of highly complex electro-optical system. This position is a core component in ensuring that L3Harris delivers quality product to our customers, as well as ensuring compliance to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard.

Essential Functions:
  • Calibration of equipment in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025, and ANSI Z540.3 standards.
  • Maintain records of instrument and equipment calibration, procedures for calibration and other pertinent data in accordance with company, ISO, and industry standard requirements.
  • General oversight of ESD practices and mitigation methods.
  • Track and manage department performance metrics.
  • Manage department variable costs.
  • Prepare procedures for the calibration and/or test of equipment, and establish re-certification cycles.
  • Participate in and support manufacturing (Gemba) and program status and scrum meetings.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience may be considered.
  • Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and direction.
  • Self-starter, able to drive standard work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience in AS9100 environment
  • Regulated industry experience (Defense, Aerospace, Medical, etc.)
  • ASQ CCT and/or CQT Certification(s).
  • Secret level security clearance at time of hire preferred.
  • Electrical, electro-optical, and mechanical assembly background.
  • Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems. (i.e. SAP, Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Experience working in a union environment.
  • Experience with GAGEtrak software.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $73,000 - $125,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
