We are searching for the best talent for Specialist, Hospital Operations-Spine role, its remote- East Coast (MA) or West Coast (Irvine, CA) (U.S.)

Reports To: Manager, Hospital Operations - Spine

Purpose:

The Hospital Operations Specialist - Spine plays a critical role in advancing commercial execution, operational discipline, and field readiness across the Spine business. This position is responsible for partnering with Field Sales leadership, Supply Chain, Finance, and Hospital Operations stakeholders to optimize inventory deployment, improve asset utilization, and ensure the right instrumentation and implants are positioned to support procedural demand, customer commitments, and growth objectives. The role requires a strong balance of analytical capability, operational execution, and cross-functional influence, with responsibilities spanning inventory optimization, asset redeployment, trunk stock and PAR alignment, field issue resolution, data analysis, reporting, and support for new product introductions or field conversions. By translating operational data into actionable insights and driving disciplined execution across assigned geographies, the Hospital Operations Specialist helps reduce excess inventory, improve working capital efficiency, strengthen case coverage reliability, and enable scalable growth. This role serves as a key connection point between commercial strategy and field execution, ensuring business priorities are supported with clear processes, timely communication, and measurable operational outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

• Partner with Field Sales leadership to optimize inventory levels and support growth initiatives.
• Lead inventory optimization efforts including set balancing, trunk stock reduction, and PAR alignment.
• Drive asset redeployment initiatives including pullbacks, reallocation, and redistribution of inventory.
• Analyze inventory and financial data to provide actionable insights.
• Support new product introductions and field conversions with proper asset allocation.
• Execute system transactions in SAP or equivalent systems to support asset movement.
• Manage field support requests and resolve inventory-related issues impacting case coverage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
• Support development of dashboards and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Drive change management and adoption of inventory strategies.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required (Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field)

Required Experience & Skills:

• 4+ years in Hospital Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Cross-functional collaboration experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools

Preferred:

• Medical device or healthcare experience with Spine business
• Inventory optimization or asset management experience

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$65,000.00 - $104,650.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
