We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Center Store Specialist to make a significant impact on our store performance and lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences.

The Center Store Specialist is a key player responsible for the execution of merchandising programs and the operational success of their non-perishable departments within the stores in their district. This individual is responsible for driving sales growth, developing talent, delivering financial and operational KPIs, and fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and store excellence. Working closely with the Manager of Field Ops Support and District Director, the Center Store Specialist ensures that all merchandising strategies are effectively implemented and department goals are achieved.

What we ask of you:
• Financial Performance: Drive district and departmental KPIs, including sales, gross margin, unit movement, shrink, and quality ratings.
• Merchandising Execution: Ensure successful execution of merchandising plans across all stores, optimizing product placement, and ensuring proper inventory levels, especially for items featured in weekly circulars.
• Department Optimization: Oversee and optimize department operations end-to-end, from inventory management to product presentation.
• Competitive Awareness: Stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends, providing valuable feedback to improve store performance.
• Store Performance & Coaching: Lead store-level execution to meet or exceed goals for sales, profits, labor productivity, and shrink.
• Program Support: Assist with the implementation of key projects and initiatives, such as store remodels, merchandising fixes, and new product launches.
• Talent Development: Coach and develop Department Managers to meet company expectations in areas such as sales, customer experience, profitability, and team development.
• Associate Engagement: Foster a positive and engaging work environment for all associates within the district, ensuring high levels of associate engagement and satisfaction.
• Opportunity Store Identification: Identify underperforming stores and support turnaround plans to drive improvements in sales, operations, and customer service.
• Communication & Feedback: Serve as the main point of contact between the district and leadership teams, ensuring effective communication and feedback on store performance, challenges, and opportunities. Provide feedback to the Category teams.
• Customer Experience: Ensure that store teams are aligned on customer service goals and operational standards to consistently deliver an exceptional in-store experience.

What you bring to the table:
• A minimum of 3 years as an Assistant Store Manager and 1-2 years of experience in non-perishable departments preferred (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty)
• Strong financial acumen and proven success in achieving results

The salary range for this position is $86, 230 - $129,480 and will be commensurate with background, experience, and internal equity.
