Responsibilities

As the Special Technical Operations (STO) Analyst, supporting a national security program space warfighting mission, you will support a geographically dispersed team responsible for managing compartmented operations and products while facilitating the integration of new capabilities and providing feedback to Acquisition offices. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting and dissemination of products that inform decision-makers and the customer enterprise. You will coordinate and deconflict program planning activities across mission-related operations centers. A successful candidate will have subject matter expert (SME)-level depth of knowledge concerning customer enterprise missions and space/multi- domain operations with extensive experience leading planning projects, collaborating with senior ranking authorities and supporting Tactics, Techniques, and Procedure (TTP) development.

  • STO operations and reporting activities
  • Manage Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM)
  • Prepare briefings, reports and other relevant products for informational and decision purposes
  • Assess procedures and capabilities and provide Acquisition offices feedback regarding customer requirements expectations and/or shortfalls of relevant systems
  • Deconflict offensive planning activities with national space-mission operations centers
  • Support system integration, automation & machine learning, and exercise efforts as required
  • Identify any system or intelligence gaps and assumptions that may pose a risk to mission success and report, manage and mitigate those risks
  • Work full-time on-site at a government facility in Springfield, VA

Qualifications

  • 12+ years combined experience working in space defense operations and Special Technical Operations (STO) with bachelor's degree in related field; 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; 10+ years relevant experience with MS in related field
  • 2+ years of project management or experience leading space operations or planning teams
  • 2+ years assigned at relevant Intelligence Community (IC) organizationsconducting space ops
  • Active TS/SCI with adjudicated Poly


Preferred:
  • Experience facilitating connections between Joint Staff, senior director offices, and leadership across customer enterprise
  • Experience working with secure databases, managing controlled classified materials (i.e. ACCM)
  • Experience building checklists, procedures and exercise scenarios
  • SME knowledge of foreign/domestic space & ground threat capabilities and space surveillance networks with prior experience in tasking space surveillance resources
  • Understanding of international space policy and rules governing conduct of space-faring nations


Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
