Job DescriptionThe SPTI project manager will be responsible for overseeing and planning all aspects of mechanical construction projects, including but not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities- Build and develop client relationships.
- Participate in design assistance/Target Value Designs/Value engineering regarding SPTI projects.
- Estimate projects, prepare, and present technical project proposals and negotiate contracts with General Contractors using established Apollo procedures.
- Negotiate fees for Lump Sum and GMP projects with GC's and Owner Direct clients.
- Office and job site hours necessary to accommodate field management and day start and closeout.
- Manage cash flows and billing SOV's.
- Manage estimates through the construction and close out phases.
- Manage material and equipment procurement, process purchase orders, sub-contracts, submittals, and permits.
- Perform regular Work in Progress reports and submit to upper management monthly.
- Process project close out information, as-builts, O&M's, Startup docs.
- Labor scheduling with office team to ensure that project delivery objectives are accomplished.
- Promote and sell Apollo's capabilities to all existing and new General Contractor relationships.
- Achieve budgeted sales and profitability goals.
- Support sales team with customer leads and direction.
Skills and Relevant Requirements- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of managing projects in the Spokane area
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Display sound judgement, diplomacy, and tact.
- Technical skills: interpret drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Manage time effectively.
- Learn and adapt quickly.
- Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
