Special Education TeacherAutism/MD 2026 - 2027 School Year Location to be Determined
DESCRIPTION Special Education TeacherPOSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a dynamic individual to work with our specialized populations of Autism students to provide daily instruction in accordance with Board approved curriculum. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of ABA methodology as well as data collection and graphing. Knowledge of VBMAPP, ABLLS and AFLS a plus. Willing to train the right candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Pre K-3, K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher (TOSD) of the Handicap (TOH)
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Ac
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any
applicable and collective negotiations agreement.
COMPENSATION In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.
