About the Role

Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Center-Based Moderate/Severe Special Education Lead Teacher in Thornton, CO. In this role, you'll lead a classroom serving students with moderate to severe disabilities, providing individualized instruction, implementing IEPs, and fostering a structured, supportive learning environment where students can build academic, functional, communication, and life skills. You'll collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to help each student reach their fullest potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced special education teachers as well as educators passionate about supporting students with significant support needs in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.

What We're Looking For
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
  • Strong classroom leadership, collaboration, and behavior management skills
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required
