About the role:

As part of the SPD Launch Excellence Team, this Associate Director level role supports key elements of the enterprise Launch Excellence and Brand Planning processes across the enterprise. In partnership with the SPD Launch Excellence Head and other enterprise Launch Excellence leaders, this individual ensures a consistent approach to Launch Excellence that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and the evolving external marketplace.

  • Works with cross-functional partners across the enterprise to harmonize and update the launch excellence frameworks, processes, templates and workshops to ensure they are constantly evolving to reflect stakeholder and market needs.
  • Partners with the Launch Excellence Head, DDT and partners to oversee the release schedule for the Launch Excellence Platform, prioritizing features and benefits across multiple stakeholders to ensure Takeda has an industry leading tool.
  • Leads the training, roll-out and onboarding in partnership with DDT for the Launch Excellence Platform.
  • Oversees and manages the Launch Readiness Review forum in partnership with the Launch Excellence Head
  • Ensures that teams are building on launch learnings across the organization
  • Leads the SPD Brand Planning Process (templates, timing, process, scope, etc.) ensuring each pipeline asset is developing robust brand strategies. Owns and manages the operational components of the Brand Planning processes (technology, logistics, agendas, templates, minutes, repositories, etc.) in partnership with key SPD partners.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders with SPD, IBU, USBU and across the enterprise.
  • Builds a strong external network to understand how industry peers are evolving their approach to Brand Planning and Launch Excellence.
  • Leverages technology and tools to build efficiencies and enhance productivity across processes and systems.


Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree-required
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences strategy consulting industry, and inclusive of at least two different types of cross-functional roles/experience
  • 3+ years' experience within the commercial space of pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences strategy consulting industry inclusive on both pre-launch and in-line experience
  • Track-record of working on successful launches within the pharma/biotech space (1 or more)
  • Experience leading complex projects requiring global and local alignment
  • Knowledge of marketing strategy and new product commercialization, inclusive of pre-launch activities
  • Strong ability to simplify complex concepts & strategies and to "tell a story" orally and in writing
  • Strong influencing skills, and the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in stressful situations
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and project management software
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of pharmaceutical development, regulatory requirements and commercial launch excellence
  • Cross-Functional Knowledge: Understanding of essential global launch activities across key areas in cross-functional program team
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational abilities to manage competing priorities


Desirable Requirements:
  • Advanced degree, i.e., MBA, PhD, MA
  • Languages: Multilingual capabilities
  • Global Experience: Experience with global launches
  • Brand Management at country level
  • Project Management Certification

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$154,400.00 - $242,550.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
