Titre du poste: Spécialiste principal des systèmes de contrôle

Le spécialiste principal des systèmes de contrôle sera chargé de concevoir, valider et certifier les systèmes de contrôle des moteurs à turbine à gaz, incluant les nouvelles lignes de produit, les moteurs dérivés et les démonstrateurs hybrides/nouvelles technologies. Le candidat retenu développera des exigences au niveau des systèmes à-propos des commandes de moteur. Au cours de la phase de conception du moteur / de l'avion, il / elle travaillera avec les fabricants d'avions pour développer la fonctionnalité du système de contrôle. Il / elle travaillera avec une équipe multidisciplinaire (performance, opérabilité, sécurité/sureté de fonctionnement, disciplines de conception, soutien à la clientèle, etc.) pour correspondre à la fonctionnalité du système de contrôle par rapport aux exigences des moteurs et des avions. Le candidat retenu devra comprendre la dynamique de la centrale et le processus DO-178C pendant qu'ils préparent les éléments de preuve à l'appui du certificat pour le type de moteur. Il / elle travaillera également en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs pour vérifier les logiciels et les données de test pour les essais du système de contrôle effectués sur des simulations, sur le moteur et sur avion et d'enquêter sur les incidents survenus chez nos clients.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Créer des exigences des systèmes de contrôle en travaillant en collaboration avec les clients internes et externes.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les départements de design de logiciel de P&WC et d'autres fournisseurs de logiciels pour que les exigences de systèmes sont interprétées et appliquées comme prévu.
  • Créer des plans de test des systèmes de contrôle et des procédures pour valider les systèmes de contrôle sur des bancs d'essai de simulation et dans un banc d'essai de moteur P&WC.
  • Soutenir le département de test de moteurs de P&WC et les bancs d'essai de simulation des fournisseurs afin d'assurer la bonne exécution de l'activité de validation.
  • Soutenir les activités d'essais de vol avec les clients.
  • Réviser et interpréter les données d'essai produites au cours des tests de validation.
  • Générer des rapports de certification de haut niveau pour ensuite les soumettre aux autorités nationales et étrangères de certification.
  • Fournir l'amélioration continue des processus d'organisation, basée sur les leçons apprises grâce à la mise en œuvre.
  • Fournir un soutien technique au secteur de la fabrication de P&WC pour assurer une transition fluide de nouveaux produits en production.
  • Fournir un soutien technique au secteur de l'après-vente de P&WC.

Qu'est-ce qu'il vous faut pour réussir?
  • Le candidat idéal doit avoir un diplôme en ingénierie (mécanique, électrique ou aérospatiale); combiné avec 5 à 15 ans d'expérience dans l'ingénierie des systèmes de contrôle, en fonction de la position.
  • Une expérience pertinente systèmes de contrôle des turbines a gaz ainsi que la connaissance du dual channel FADEC seraient considérés comme un atout.
  • Une compréhension du logiciel de l'aérospatiale DO-178C et la connaissance du DO-254 firmware est souhaité.
  • Ce poste s'inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais pour lire et comprendre, sur une base quotidienne, de la documentation et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d'organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Job Title: Senior Control Systems Specialist

The Senior Control Systems Specialist will be responsible to design, validate and certify the engine control systems for gas turbine engines, including new centrelines, derivative legacy engines, and hybrid/new technology demonstrators. The successful incumbent will develop system level requirements for engine controls. During the engine/aircraft concept phase, he/she will work with aircraft manufacturers to develop control system functionality. He/she will work with an integrated product team (Performance, Operability, System Safety, Design disciplines, Customer Support, etc.) to match control system functionality against the engine and aircraft requirements. The successful incumbent will understand power plant dynamics and DO-178C process as they prepare the evidence to support the engine type certificate. He/She will also work closely with suppliers to verify software, and review data for control system tests performed on simulations, engine and aircraft, and investigate field events.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Create control system requirements by working closely with internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with P&WC software design department and other software suppliers to ensure that system requirements are interpreted and implemented as intended.
  • Create control system test plans/procedures used to validate control systems on simulated closed-loop benches, in a P&WC engine test cell, and on experimental flight test aircraft.
  • Support P&WC engine test department and suppliers' closed-loop bench test facilities to ensure smooth execution of validation activity.
  • Support customer flight test activity.
  • Review and interpret test data produced during validation testing.
  • Generate top-level certification reports for submittal to national and foreign airworthiness certification authorities.
  • Engage in continuous improvement to organizational processes based on lessons learned.
  • Provide technical support to P&WC's manufacturing sector to ensure smooth transition of new products into production.
  • Provide technical support to P&WC's aftermarket sector to resolve field issues.


What do you need to be successful?
  • The ideal candidate must have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace); combined with 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering.
  • Relevant experience in gas turbine control systems as well as knowledge of dual channel FADEC would be considered an asset.
  • An understanding of aerospace software DO-178C and knowledge of DO-254 firmware is considered desirable.
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
