Titre du poste: Spécialiste, ingénierie des matériaux (forgeage)

Au sein du département de génie des matériaux, vous agirez à titre de conseiller expert auprès de divers intervenants tels que les concepteurs, les dessinateurs, les ingénieurs de projet et les analystes de structures. L'expertise doit inclure la fabrication de pièces forgées, les propriétés des matériaux, le traitement thermique et les revêtements.

Le poste est à temps plein du lundi au vendredi selon des horaires flexibles à Longueuil et s'effectue exclusivement en présentiel.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?
  • Soutenir les concepteurs dans la sélection de matériaux moulées et des structures
  • Accompagner les concepteurs dans le choix des revêtements le cas échéant en fonction de la fonction moteur/environnement : érosion, corrosion
  • Conseiller sur les schémas de réparation / non-conformités qualité
  • Rechercher et répondre à une variété de questions liées aux propriétés des matériaux émanant des concepteurs, de l'ingénierie de projet et du support client
  • Concevoir les tests et gérer la logistique à des fins de caractérisation des propriétés matérielles
  • Réviser et approuver les dessins
  • Déplacements (mondiaux) du fournisseur pour les revues de processus, la revue des processus et la contribution technique aux fournisseurs/vérification des intentions d'ingénierie
  • Rédiger des mémos et spécifications techniques
  • Gérer les données et la capacité d'analyse statistique
  • Connaissance des exigences de certification aérospatiale

Job Title: Specialist, Materials Engineering (Forging)

Why Join The Team?

Within the department of Materials Engineering, you will act as an expert advisor to various stakeholders such as Designers, Drafting, Project Engineers and Structures Analysts. Expertise should include forging manufacturing, material properties, heat treatment, coatings.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Support designers in the selection of Aerospace grade casting materials
  • Support designers in the selection of coatings where applicable based on engine function / environment: - erosion, corrosion
  • Review and approve drawings
  • Travel (global) for Supplier for process reviews, Process Walk and Technical input to suppliers / Engineering intent verification
  • Manage Data and statistical analysis capability
  • Knowledge of Aerospace certification requirements


What do you need to be successful?
