Full Job Description
Sourcing Specialist to manage, draft, negotiate, and execute supplier subcontracts for MEPPI TSD; including evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing and project management.

This position will report to the Transportation Systems Division Purchasing Section Manager and is a hybrid position in Warrendale, PA.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage supplier subcontracts through evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing and project management.
  • Resolve commercial and technical supplier issues and actions serving as liaison between supplier and MEPPI.
  • Create detailed supplier evaluation and risk analysis and present supplier recommendations to MEPPI management and stakeholders.
  • Identify supplier capability gaps and create corresponding development and maturation plan to support MEPPI projects.
  • Lead Supply chain efforts for proposal teams. Create opportunity-specific sourcing strategy with MEPPI Program Management.
  • Develop, negotiate, and author subcontracts for major equipment managing the technical exceptions and customer flow-downs.
  • Manage subcontractor performance on existing subcontracts to ensure contract compliance; develop and enforce corrective actions/resolutions for contract issues.
  • Monitor project cost performance and implement procurement strategies designed to reduce current and future project costs.
  • Identify and track cost savings/overruns and facilitate resolution between engineering and subcontract supplier.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field and minimum 8 years' experience managing large-scale subcontracts in transit environment or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel modeling.
  • Developed logical and critical thinking skills including the ability to develop, analyze and draw conclusions to problems requiring quantitative results.
  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills within cross-cultural work environment.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products ERP Systems (preferably Syteline).
