Sourcing Specialist We are looking for a
Sourcing Specialist for our
Westbury, NY facility. In this role you will be deeply involved in Upstream Sourcing processes, for new supplier identification, RFI, RFQ follow up, quote analysis and supplier selection proposals, sample ordering, follow ups, vendor change process management from Sourcing point of View. Risk analysis and prioritization for vendor change process based on supply risk. This position will also do tactical buying Westbury direct material.
Your Responsibilities:- Prepare request for information, request for quote.
- Identify new high potential suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with sourcing process.
- Maintain sourcing records and database.
- Follow-up and resolve epidemic quality and availability issues.
- Conduct analysis of spend and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in area of cost, quality and service.
- Maintain and manage independent charge for assigned purchases.
- Act as a back-up to maintain support for essential activities of Sourcing group
- Update and track the savings for the responsible category on the online STEP tool
- Conduct category analysis
- Supplier identification and evaluation- Identifying potential suppliers through market research and analysis
- Negotiation and contract management- Negotiating pricing, contract conditions and Payment terms
- Cost optimization- Analyze the category and identify cost saving opportunities
- Supplier relationship management- Building and maintaining strong relationship with the key vendors
Your Profile:- College Engineering degree. Technical and business or supply chain major preferred.
- 5-8 years previous experience in supply chain management, procurement, strategic sourcing is
- Proficient in MS Office
- Previous experience with SAP desirable. Ability to develop mastery of ERP system in short period of time.
- Organization- able to manage their own time and maintain record of multiple sourcing projects and current Status
- Communication- ability to prepare small presentations to the team, communicate cross functionality to peers and superiors
Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $90,000 to $130,000 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
