The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services (ES) Strategy and Transformation Team:

As part of the Enterprise Services (ES) Strategy and Transformation team, this role will support business needs and projects across indirect categories, with an emphasis on marketing, agency, media, marketing technology services, PR agencies, communications, and event management. Besides supporting the Communications and Marketing functions, this role will also support the Legal function.

The ideal candidate will draw from past experience with various communications, marketing, and event management suppliers and can assist with translating this knowledge via contract negotiations and project management skills to lead the coordination, communication and integration of suppliers to support the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives. This individual will have an understanding of supplier products/services and develop various strategies to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line.

An understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, from contract negotiations to requisition and PO placement is needed for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to develop effective presentations and present to leadership and peers.

What You Will Do:

  • Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:


  • Drives contract requirements and negotiations.


  • Assess and onboard new suppliers as needed


  • Aligns with stakeholders on vendor consolidation activities to drive contract savings


  • Develops, manages, and partners with stakeholders on an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFXs, etc.


  • Facilitate supplier performance reviews, benchmarks & reporting


  • Reviews Statements of Work (SOW) documents and ensures sourcing best practices are followed


  • Analyze pricing and negotiating complex technology agreements


  • Build strong partnerships across various stakeholders (legal, finance, etc.)


  • Develop strong supplier relationships to drive effectiveness and value


  • Supports the investigation, negotiation and favorable resolution of disputes with suppliers


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively


  • Develop executive level analysis & presentations


  • Work with Stakeholders on benchmarking industry trends and changes, as requested.


  • Partner with key stakeholders on strategic vendor meetings and strategies.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience


  • Experience with sourcing roles and functions, including creating sourcing roadmaps, developing category strategies, licensing/asset management, risk management, and requirement change management


  • Demonstrated expertise sourcing marketing-related categories, including agency services, paid media, sponsorships, tradeshows and other event management, creative production, PR/communications, martech platforms, market research, and related professional services.


  • Expertise in drafting, negotiating and interpreting sophisticated commercial agreements; Excellent negotiations and sourcing skills with understanding of different contract types


  • Build a supplier strategy for software contracts with the ability to manage licensing, maintenance, and support requirements


  • Collaboration with stakeholders in peer organizations and other operational areas to balance supplier requirements, customer experience and affordability


  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies and business cases to improve performance in these areas


  • Business acumen to connect technical requirements and concerns to contract performance


  • Hands-on experience with Ariba (or similar product) to manage sourcing and contract activities (P2P)


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • MBA and minimum of 8 years Consulting, Sourcing and Procurement Management


  • Sourcing experience with legal-technology vendors, particularly vendors of new AI tools to increase efficiencies in the provision and management of legal services


  • Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies


  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors


  • Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews

  • Farmington, CT is the preferred location, however candidates located near an RTX hub will also be considered.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
