Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Job Type: Contract (Through July 31, 2027)
Expected Hours per week: 40 hours/week
Pay Range: $35-50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Sourcing Manager to support strategic and operational procurement activities across the organization. This individual will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost reduction initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in supporting daily business operations by securing high-quality products and services at the best total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing activities for materials and services, utilizing strategic sourcing methodologies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotations (RFQ).
  • Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and service agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable business outcomes and minimize organizational risk.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, suppliers, legal counsel, and supplier quality teams to support contract development, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review specifications, statements of work (SOW), drawings, and project requirements to develop sourcing packages and supplier agreements.
  • Analyze market data, supplier capabilities, and competitive information to identify savings opportunities and support sourcing decisions.
  • Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure products and services are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Oversee contract administration, including execution, amendments, spend tracking, compliance, and contract expiration management.
  • Support procurement process improvements, reporting metrics, and implementation of industry best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, contract management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing RFQ, RFP, and sourcing events from initiation through contract execution.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Ability to review Statements of Work (SOW), specifications, and technical documentation to support sourcing activities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, negotiating, and modifying supplier contracts.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and resolve business issues effectively.

Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite at the nearest service center and 2 days remote.
  • Initial training period will require onsite attendance in Jackson, MI.
