Full Job Description
SLB is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sourcing Lead - Chemicals to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply continuity, drive value creation, and support critical business objectives across a complex global supply network. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to influence sourcing decisions, optimize supplier performance, and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives that support business objectives, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness.
  • Manage sourcing projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities and category strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximize value, innovation, and performance.
  • Drive competitive sourcing events and commercial negotiations to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and functional teams to align sourcing activities and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor project execution, supplier performance, and sourcing effectiveness to ensure delivery of expected results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize total cost of ownership across the supply base.
  • Ensure sourcing activities are conducted in alignment with company policies, governance requirements, and compliance standards.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a global business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations, contract management, cost analysis, and sourcing project leadership.
  • Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and organizational levels.
  • Experience sourcing chemicals or managing chemicals-related categories is highly preferred.
  • Chemical Engineering background is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
