Sourcing Lead - Fabrication to develop and execute sourcing strategies for fabricated equipment, components, and integrated assemblies. This role is responsible for identifying and developing suppliers, leading competitive sourcing events, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring a reliable, high-performing supply base that supports quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate supplier capabilities, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across the sourcing process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce cost, improve supply security, and minimize supply chain risk.
- Lead sourcing projects from supplier identification and qualification through contract award and implementation.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of supporting fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly requirements.
- Manage supplier bid processes, including requests for information, quotations, and proposals.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, quality systems, and technical readiness to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to define sourcing requirements and supplier selection criteria.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Build and maintain a high-performing supplier network that supports current and future business needs.
- Ensure supplier selection decisions, contracts, and sourcing activities are properly documented and compliant with company policies.
- Monitor sourcing initiatives to ensure successful implementation, on-time delivery, and achievement of business objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders across operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions to support strategic sourcing priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree desired.
- Strong technical knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, forming, casting, and surface treatment/coating operations.
- Experience assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities, production capacity, and quality systems.
- Solid understanding of mechanical assemblies and systems integration, including skid or module assembly, equipment testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Proven experience sourcing fabricated equipment, structural components, industrial assemblies, or engineered products in a manufacturing, industrial, energy, or oilfield environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- SAP experience.
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
