What you will do:The Solutions Manager Lighting leads the Projects Team and is accountable for end-to-end execution of lighting projects from startup through closeout. The role owns project administration including quoting support, scheduling, submittals, order entry & expediting, billing accuracy, and closeout documentation. The role serves as the primary coordination point between the VP Projects and Services, Sales, vendors, and customers to keep commitments on track, resolve issues quickly, and ensure timely, profitable, and accurate delivery
- Manage incoming quote requests and quote execution.
- Prepare submittals for customer and engineering review.
- Create sales documents, purchase orders and tracking log
- Track delivery dates and coordinate timely delivery to job sites.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
- Manage project budget.
- Understand OSD pricing model and billing procedures.
- Performs order entry and checks the status to confirm lead times and availability.
- Coordinate shipments of material to meet customer schedules and time constraints.
- Confirms that all billing is handled correctly.
- Process returns and credits, and handle all damages, incorrect material, and errors in coordination with vendors.
- Coordinates with the warehouse to manage stored materials for a project and arranges delivery of these materials.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Perform any other duties assigned that contribute to customer service, profitability, and company success.
- Recruiting, training, and developing talent to meet growth goals.
- Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant telephone etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travel.
- Handles difficulties with customers and co-workers with diplomacy and seeks assistance when needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has supervisory responsibility, which includes but is not limited to timekeeping responsibilities, reviews, disciplinary responsibilities, and succession planning.
- Team performance reporting is necessary.
- This position works in a normal office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
What you will bring:- Associate degree (A.A.) and two to four years' related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience in the electrical distribution or construction industry preferred but not required.
- Experience managing a team.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook
- Through previous background and experience, the candidate must be able to demonstrate, with or without accommodation:
- Proven ability to start and complete tasks and be detail oriented.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with or aptitude to quickly learn OSD proprietary systems.
- Must be a team player and abide by OSD's strong core values and beliefs.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance.
- Frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Location:This role is based in San Leandro, CA
Work hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary Range:- This is an exempt position that pays $134,200 - $163,266 annually.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
