This job is for you if:
  • You know how to express yourself and you like to talk to people and learn what makes them tick.
  • Cloud technology, analytics and data fascinates you! You're passionate about learning, and thrive when things get exciting... and you tinker. You tinker with anything be it mechanical or software.
  • Helping people is satisfying to you and the bigger the puzzle to get there the better.

What is a Solutions Engineer exactly...
  • Corporations rely on technology to run their businesses.
  • Splunk Products allow customers to investigate, monitor, analyze and act upon their data with one platform.
  • The Solutions Engineer is the technical member of the Customer Account Team. They are the trusted advisor to both customers and the Sales Representative as the Splunk team collaborates to find the right solution for the business scenarios that are most important to the customer. Solutions Engineers tinker with the tech and translate it for a business ear. The ultimate goal of course, is the success of the customer.
  • What you'll do in your first six months at Splunk:
  • Splunk Solutions Engineers will get the opportunity to become familiar with the Splunk Product line through observatory sessions with tenured Solutions Engineers.
  • Partner with a tenured Solutions Engineer as they work.
  • Shadow customer calls and help out with presentation development, workshops and/or technical concept proof events as the account team moves the customers towards the close of sale.
  • Meet weekly with your team, manager and mentors and discuss what you've learned.
  • Hone your presentation skills and prepare to present technical concepts to customers and how to discover their needs.
  • Collaborate with peers in developing a knowledge resource for future incoming Solutions Engineers in training.
  • Polish your evangelizing technique talking about our products and services to customers (without being pushy!).
  • Meet Splunkers from all walks of life and explore what Splunk has to offer.
  • Who are we looking for?
  • People with 3-5 years of full-time work experience in any industry who see themselves in the "This Job is for You" section.
  • Meeting and exceeding success criteria in your previous roles -- be prepared to discuss this throughout the interview process.
