About the Role
At ITX, we design thoughtful, elegant solutions to solve meaningful business challenges. We're looking for a Solutions Architect who is excited to work at the intersection of business and technology-someone who can translate complex needs into clear, effective technical solutions.
This is a growth-oriented role, ideal for someone early in their architecture journey who's ready to deepen their impact as a trusted technical advisor.
Important Note: This role is open only to candidates based in the United States. Candidates in the greater Rochester (NY) area will be prioritized, since the role requires occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect at ITX, you'll play a key role in shaping solutions from the earliest stages of client engagement through delivery. You will:
- Lead architectural discovery and assessment efforts for new and existing clients
- Translate business goals, constraints, and requirements into clear solution blueprints
- Partner directly with clients to guide technical decisions, establish feasibility, and build trust
- Collaborate with Product Innovation Leads to align solutions with product vision and business priorities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic oversight to delivery teams alongside Tech Leads
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best engineering practices
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement across systems and teams
- Contribute to defining user stories, technical priorities, and solution direction
- Advocate for simplicity, elegance, and long-term sustainability in system design
What We're Looking For
We're intentionally technologically agnostic-we care more about how you approach problems than a specific stack. That said, based on our current pipeline, experience in the following areas will be helpful:
- Backend development (e.g. .NET or similar)
- Modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Node.js, Angular)
- Cloud architecture, ideally AWS
- Exposure to or interest in AI-driven solutions and architecture
You'll also bring:
- ~3-6 years of experience in software development, technical leadership, or architecture
- Experience working with clients or external stakeholders
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- A strategic mindset-you can balance big-picture thinking with practical constraints
- Clear communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Curiosity and a drive to continuously learn and improve
ITX's Compensation Philosophy
Equality in compensation has been our practice since ITX started, in 1997.
ITX believes that market-based pay ensures fair and equitable compensation for our worldwide team members and pay that is based on the market, not on who has the best negotiation skills. At ITX, you'll never discover that someone in the same job with the same experience makes more than you, or that there are pay gaps based on race, gender, disability, or age.
How do our team members experience market-based pay at ITX? We gather market data to benchmark each position in our candidates' and team members' locations and use these benchmarks for candidate offers and to perform regular compensation reviews for our team members. You'll never have to worry about asking for a pay raise again. At least once a year ITX automatically adjusts pay when the benchmark is higher than our team member's compensation.
In Rochester, N.Y., home to ITX's headquarters, the pay range for a Solutions Architect role is $135,000 to $165,000, depending on experience, specific skills and certifications, and education. Based on your location in the United States if you are in a place where the market for your role is higher or lower, this pay range could be 11% lower or 6% higher than the Rochester, N.Y. market.
ITX has team members in many countries, and we use the same methodology for determining pay for all our teammates. For candidates outside of the United States, we use local market data to determine the benchmark range for the role.
Do you have questions about ITX's compensation practices? Let us know! We're proud of how we do compensation at ITX and welcome the opportunity to share more.
