BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Solutions Architect, Integration is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving integration as a shared enterprise platform capability across MSC. This role provides architectural leadership for the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions spanning APIs, events, file transfers, and legacy connectivity, while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Operating at the intersection of architecture and delivery, the role guides engineering teams, establishes integration patterns, and drives high-quality outcomes across all integration initiatives. This position is critical to enabling MSC's composable architecture, AI, and advanced analytics strategies by ensuring enterprise systems and data are connected through scalable, real-time integration capabilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead and govern the design and delivery of integration solutions across enterprise systems, partners, and platforms, ensuring alignment with architecture standards and business objectives
  • Provide technical direction and design oversight to engineering and delivery teams, guiding solution design, resolving complex challenges, and ensuring scalable, maintainable outcomes aligned with MSC integration standards and patterns
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across the integration lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support), ensuring high quality, performance, reliability, and operational stability
  • Enable AI and advanced analytics use cases by ensuring enterprise data and systems are accessible through modern integration patterns, and drive adoption of real-time, event-driven integration approaches
  • Provide mentorship to integration engineers and developers, influence technical decisions, serve as an escalation point for complex integration challenges, and drive the adoption of integration best practices and continuous improvement

Integration Architecture & Patterns
  • Define and implement standard integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch/file, messaging)
  • Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators to improve speed and consistency
  • Ensure solutions align to enterprise architecture and data standards
  • Evaluate and recommend integration technologies and tools
  • Design for scalability, resiliency, and future growth of the platform

Platform Ownership & Governance
  • Act as the technical steward of MSC's Integration Platform, defining and governing standards, patterns, and architectural guardrails across all integration initiatives
  • Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and observable by establishing requirements for monitoring, data integrity, error handling, and operational support
  • Drive consistency and adoption of integration best practices across teams, ensuring solutions are reusable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Continuously evolve the integration platform by identifying opportunities to enhance capabilities, improve efficiency, and support emerging digital and data-driven needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with business teams, architects, and product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Work with internal and external partners to design and implement integrations
  • Support project planning, estimation, and execution
  • Communicate technical designs and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Operational Excellence & Support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across systems and partners
  • Ensure production stability and manage integration lifecycle support
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation for integration processes
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required


QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required
  • 8+ years of experience in systems integration, software engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions
  • Experience leading technical teams or acting as a senior/lead engineer
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple systems and data sources
  • Strong experience with enterprise integration patterns, driving modernization from legacy approaches to scalable, API- and event-driven architectures
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented and event-driven architectures, and system-to-system interoperability
  • Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and relational database concepts, with working knowledge of SQL and data modeling
  • Experience with modern integration platforms (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, API Management, messaging/event platforms) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Understanding of software development principles and scripting/programming (e.g., Java, Python) sufficient to guide design, troubleshooting, and delivery teams
  • Familiarity with AI and data fundamentals, including how data accessibility, real-time integration, and event-driven architectures support AI and advanced analytics use cases

  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are required
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ("ITAR") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ("CUI")

Compensation starting at $ - $ depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
