A Snapshot of Your Day As a member of the Mechanical Project Execution team, you will oversee Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment throughout the entire project lifecycle, from proposal development and contract award through manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and plant startup. You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure equipment specifications, designs, and quality requirements are met. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project execution responsibilities to support successful power generation projects.
How You'll Make an Impact - Support the Proposals Department in developing technical solutions and project proposals.
- Develop generic and site-specific technical specifications, including Master Document Lists (MDLs) that define supplier deliverables and schedules.
- Evaluate supplier bids, prepare technical bid tabulations, and support procurement activities including e-bids and e-auctions.
- Lead technical design reviews with suppliers and ensure timely submission and review of engineering documentation.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to verify equipment performance and compliance with project requirements.
- Support commissioning and startup activities while responding to technical inquiries, RFIs, PCMs, and field design requests.
What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment design, engineering, and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of BOP equipment design, sizing, and application requirements, including fuel gas systems, pumps, control valves, cooling water systems, and related plant equipment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, suppliers, and customers.
- Experience supporting supplier evaluations, design reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and commissioning activities.
