Solution ArchitectLocation- Remote, Prefered HoustonSalary- MarketHigh-level overview:Enbridge is engaged in a 2-3-year project to integrate 3 acquired gas utility subsidiaries from Dominion Energy into our IT\OT landscape. Approximately 200 applications are in scope for the integration, and most will be targeted to move to the Enbridge Azure cloud. We require three experts to join our solution architecture team and hit the ground running. This work would include discovery and documentation on the current state of the applications, proposals on the target-state architecture, formalized decision records, final state documentation including architectural diagrams, etc. A range of skillsets across the selected candidates would be helpful as the applications in scope cover all areas to run the business, such as ERP, Asset Management, GIS, Operational Technologies (OT), SaaS services, etc.
Key Accountabilities:- Responsible for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements of a project/program, including but not limited to the ones listed below:
- Develop solution architecture, high level solution designs that address business, application, information, and technology requirements.
- Works with analyst on the project who is capturing and gathering the requirements that need to be addressed by the solution architecture.
- Assist the PM on cost and effort estimates for implementing solution.
- Responsible for revising costs estimates, as aligned with PMO stage gates.
- Responsible for understanding and applying the solution design guidance published in the Technology Foundation Library.
- Take the lead in ensuring the Solution Architecture deliverable is ready for PMO stage gates and that the solution meets architecture governance.
- Solution Architect is responsible for following Deliverables:
- Technology decision records
- High level Sol Architecture
- Class-3 estimate (+/-30%), including execution forecasting and sustainment costs
- Test Strategy
- Detailed Solution Architecture
- Data Disposition and Migration Plan
- Test plan and Outcomes
- Class-1 estimate (+/-10%), including execution forecasting and sustainment costs
- Decommissioning and Data disposition completion confirmation
- Roadmap, TWG, APM and CMDB updates confirmation
- Solution Architect is responsible for following Work Products:
- Contextual Architecture
- High Level & Detailed non-functional requirements
- Deployment Blueprint
- Q/A and testing remediation
- EA Checklist completion
- Required Technical Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in designing and building technology solutions.
- Some experience would be helpful in Oil and Gas utilities, Azure cloud, SCADA Operations, Asset Management, ERP, Z15 Mainframe systems, GIS, Citrix.
