Description & Requirements JOB SUMMARY The Solution Architect is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of end-to-end solutions on the Azure platform. The incumbent will work proactively with stakeholders and development teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that align with the organization's IT strategy and meet industry best practices.
JOB DUTIES - Design and implement end-to-end solutions on the Azure platform that meet the customer's requirements, align with the organization's IT strategy, and follow industry best practices
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to development teams and stakeholders, ensuring the solution architecture is understood and followed throughout the development process
- Conduct assessments of existing systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and develop a roadmap for modernizing and migrating to the Azure cloud
- Define and document architecture and design patterns that can be replicated and applied across projects; Provide guidance on how to use them effectively
- Ensure that Azure solutions comply with industry and regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR; Identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities in the system design and implementation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure solutions meet the needs of all stakeholders and are delivered on time, within budget
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure technology and industry trends; Apply this knowledge to ensure solutions remain innovative and cutting-edge
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Several years of experience in Azure solutions design and implementation
- Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Kubernetes, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud computing principles and best practices including serverless computing, microservices architecture, and containerization
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are a plus
- Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
