Title:
Software Test Engineer

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software applications through comprehensive testing and validation activities. This role works closely with software developers, product owners, business analysts, and business stakeholders to identify defects, validate requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, helping improve testing efficiency, system reliability, and overall software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for new and existing software applications.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation based on business and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Execute automated test suites and support continuous testing initiatives using established testing frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate software defects through resolution and retesting activities.
  • Support testing activities related to system integrations, data validation, and enterprise application interoperability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews.
  • Assist with test environment preparation, test data management, release validation, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and quality assurance best practices that enhance product reliability and team effectiveness.


Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or related technical roles.
  • Experience performing both manual and automated testing across enterprise applications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile and Scrum software delivery environments.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and defect management processes.
  • Experience executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Ability to design, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating automated testing capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
  • Experience with API testing tools and service validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with performance, load, or scalability testing approaches and tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, particularly within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience testing enterprise business systems and complex application integrations.
