Software Systems Engineer to support the
IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:- Developing system level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation.
- Lead reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features.
- Will take an MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow.
- Will work with both contractors, government civilians and system operators.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
- Candidate will have 10 or more years of system engineering experience.
- Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
- Must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.
- Will be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:- System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
- Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are plus.
