WHAT WE'RE DOING
The Software Quality Analyst will develop and maintain quality plans, procedures, and documentation that meet customer, regulatory, and corporate standards for both make- and buy-item software.
THE WORK
• Develop, launch, and manage the Software Quality Assurance (SWQA) database.
• Serve as the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) owner for the SWQA database.
• Create dashboards that provide turnkey access to SWQA data and metrics to leadership and cross functional stakeholders.
• Deliver data-analytics support for the SWQE team to leverage for Corrective Action Planning and Quality Program Team reporting.
• Present standard quality metrics to Corrective Action Boards.
• Facilitate SWQA improvement projects.
• Support Quality Program Managers with quality-data analytics.
• Perform SW Quality reviews, audits, and test oversight as required.
• Provide program-quality resource analytics to senior management (current and forecasted).
• This role requires solid data-analytics expertise and functions as a hybrid position within the SWQA team. The analyst will present metrics at Owego's Corrective Action Board meetings and optimize Quality Program Team meetings to drive continuous improvement. Strong facilitation, action-tracking, and communication skills are essential for working with cross-functional and organizational stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent professional experience/combined education.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 (Quality Management System) and practical experience applying its requirements.
• Hands-on experience with verification and validation (V&V) processes for software or systems.
• Proven auditing experience (internal, supplier, or compliance audits).
• Experience in data analytics and/or quality engineering (e.g., statistical analysis, dashboard creation, metrics reporting).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired skills
• Aerospace-focused database development and analytics experience - proficiency with relational database systems (SQL, Oracle, or equivalent), data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel (including advanced functions/pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Tableau experience or similar data analytics tools
• Software Engineering / Software Quality experience
• Defect trending experience using Excel, PivotTables, Dashboards, Root Cause Analysis (e.g. 5Why, Ishikawa Diagrams, Flow Charts, Pareto Analysis).
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Audit experience (AS9100, ISO9001)
• Experience with development, production, and sustainment contracts.
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
