Full Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer with both imagination and technical drive. Someone eager to help shape the future of weapons planning. In this role youll craft high-impact applications that empower the warfighter, transform complex weapon planning data into clear, actionable insight, and push the boundaries of what modern mission planning systems can accomplish.

Responsibilities - What youll do:
  • Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich applications and R&D projects
  • Work on the Next-Generation Open Mission Planning System for the DoW
  • Articulate the long-term vision for projects and translate it into detailed features and feasible software designs
  • Develop the architectural runway necessary for large solutions
  • Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible

Required Qualifications - We need someone who:
  • Has a bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field and 9 years of experience
  • Has background in developing mission planning applications for the DoW
  • Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Has experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
  • Demonstrates strong fundamental skills in software design and development and the ability to coordinate the teams workflow
  • Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
  • Manages time well and can prioritize a teams tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

Preferred Qualifications - Its even better if you:
  • Have experience developing containerized microservices in a Kubernetes environment
  • Have examples of code or applications youve built that we can check out
  • Are proficient with multiple IDEs, Languages, or Frameworks
  • Have a background taking an entire development through launch
  • Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
  • Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
