Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. Seeing your tools in real-time action brings immediate gratification. This premier program encompasses traditional software services including Systems Design and Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Integration and Test, as well as Operations and Systems Support. Your contributions are...
- Design, develop, and maintain Python services supporting the AI Copilot, Deep Research Agent, MCP Server, and agent orchestration
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations across operational data sources
- Develop search, monitoring, and observability solutions using ElasticSearch, Kibana, and Grafana
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to software architecture decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable AI solutions

Requirements for your new career...

- 12 years of experience in software development
- Advanced proficiency in Python with experience building production-grade services and APIs.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, or similar observability and search technologies.
- Experience leading technical efforts, mentoring engineers, or serving as a technical lead.
- Experience with relational databases, including Amazon RDS or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, emerging AI technologies and agent-based systems.

Salary range: $170,000 - $240,000
