Job Overview
This role is essential for designing, implementing, and operating scalable, reliable, and secure platform solutions that support critical enterprise applications and high-availability environments. The role involves collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to develop and maintain cloud-native services, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and operational tooling. This position requires independent ownership of production systems, automation of operational processes, and a strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud technologies, infrastructure, and service interactions. Success is measured by the ability to improve platform reliability, automate manual processes, accelerate software delivery, and maintain operational excellence through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. The work impacts the organization by enabling resilient, scalable platforms that enhance developer productivity, improve service availability, and support business-critical applications and strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create clear documentation for software code, system designs, and business requirements

  • Design, develop, and maintain AI platform services, cloud-native applications, automation frameworks, and infrastructure solutions that support scalable AI engineering, LLM, and agentic AI workloads.
  • Build, enhance, and operate CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks, deployment automation, and developer productivity tooling that accelerate the delivery of AI applications and platform capabilities.
  • Perform additional duties, special projects, and organizational initiatives as assigned to support AI engineering objectives and business priorities.


Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience
    OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
    OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Related Field (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years of technical engineering experience.

Compensation Range:

Frisco, TX: $106,800 to $144,600

Base Pay Range: $92,500 - $166,800

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
