Software Engineer

This role is more than just coding. As a senior full-stack developer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in Python, Java, or C++
• 5+ years of experience developing on Linux platforms such as RHEL
• 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming and multi-process or thread applications
• Experience with test-driven development for a production-quality application
• Experience with DevSecOps and Cybersecurity practices and methodologies
• Experience hardening devices using STIGs
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Git
• Ability to assist with implementing, managing, and maintaining RHEL configurations
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS, or 8+ years of experience in software development in lieu of degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with CI tools such as Docker or Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline configuration
• Experience developing or integrating Micro Services
• Experience with evaluation metrics such as ROC and PR, confusion matrix, calibration, or regression errors, and experiment design for ML models
• Knowledge of fused-sensor systems and probabilistic classification for decision aids
• Knowledge of geospatial data and spatial transformations
• Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware acceleration techniques
• Ability to design and integrate APIs into existing software architecture

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
