Standard Job DescriptionThe WorkThe C2BMC-Regional Application (RA) Agile Release Train (ART) is seeking a software engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include:
• Design and develop new Java real-time applications; Maintain existing Java applications
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Interface with other system support groups
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
Basic Qualifications• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software / computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3+ years of professional experience.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
• Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
• The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently, and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment.
• Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success.
• Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting for some roles.

• Missile Defense Domain experience
• Design and development of real-time Java applications.
• Developing multi-thread Java applications
• Developing new capabilities into a legacy software system.
• Optimizing Java applications for run-time performance.
• Development of complex mathematical algorithms from design documents.
• SW analysis against performance requirements.
• Resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
• Maven or Gradle.
• Automated unit testing frameworks.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
