JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms. Collaborate with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to design and implement deployment strategies using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Work closely with technical experts, key stakeholders, and team members to identify and resolve complex problems. Understand and monitor service level indicators and utilize service level objectives to address issues before they impact customers. Support and promote the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices. Guide and assist team members in developing appropriate level designs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Devops Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Devops Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: utilizing continuous integration and continuous delivery tools including Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, AWS, Grafana, GIT, and Airflow; using observability including white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools Grafana and Dynatrace; applying SRE principles to improve system reliability, availability, and performance, including automation, root cause analysis, and incident management; debugging software, automating scripts, and integration with infrastructure and monitoring tools using Python and Java for designing, coding, and testing; building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and Airflow; Automating, building, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting in CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and Airflow; Provisioning and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform; Developing and managing containerized and orchestrated environments using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS and using cluster management and automation; deploying and managing applications and infrastructure on AWS with cloud automation, cost optimization, and security; Using Git for source code management and team collaboration; Leveraging workflow automation and job scheduling tools including Apache Airflow to orchestrate data pipelines and operational tasks.
